The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch
In 2000 I was commissioned by Oxford Playhouse to write a musical to be performed by two professional actors and a large group of children, on the main stage for a special performance. In fact five schools took part, so we had five different performances. Ronda and David Armitage had earlier approached me with the idea of me adapting their very popular picture book, THE LIGHTHOUSE KEEPER’S LUNCH, which seemed to ideally fit the bill! The musical play was subsequently published by Weinbergers, complete with a useful CD of the musical accompaniment.
